Spiderwood is a our favorite type of driftwood here at Buce Plant HQ. Its so easy to use, any way you arrange it can turn into a natural masterpiece. The tangles and twists of every piece are enough to make any aquascaper's wet dreams a reality.

Size Specifications
Photos provided are a representation of what you will receive. As Wood is a natural product, coloration, shape and size differences will occur and are to be expected.

Small: 6-12 inches
Medium: 10-16 inches
Large: 14-20 inches
Extra Large: 18-24 inches

Driftwood can leech tannins which can cause a slight yellow or brown tint to your water. This is natural and the effects will reduce over time. Boiling the wood prior to use can decrease the tannins leeching.

Important note: We recommend rinsing wood thoroughly before adding it to an established aquarium. If you prefer, you may also boil the wood for at least 1-2 hours to help release tannins.

Spider Wood is a unique type of wood used in the aquarium hobby. It is called spider wood due to the multiple branches protruding from the main body, a characteristic unique to spider wood. Spider wood also resembles a tree which makes it popular for a Bonsai aquascape. The branchy character of spider wood allows for hiding spots for fish and shrimp, as well as spots to place plants, like anubias and bucephalandra.
