Vintage 1978 Teac A-4300 Reel To Reel Recorder, Auto Reverse

This is a rare vintage tape recorder. It belonged to my father. Has been sitting for about 10 years..I used it for a few months in 2013 and recently played some reels on it. NOTE: I have the highest estimate price for shipping to California.  Will be less on East Coast, so will credit you minus handling when shipped.    Nice vintage Teac A-4300 Reel To Reel recorder, manufactured in 1978, before the A - 4300SX. The main difference is the SX has separate monitor switches for each channel, the 4300 has only one monitor switch that controls both channels, hence a little bit of circuit change. The meters case on the SX are black plastic, the 4300 are metal silver. The knobs on 4300 are metal silver, SX are black with a rubber coating. Features Auto reverse, wood side panels, 3 Heads, Tape Bias switches, Mic inputs, back lit analogue VU meters, 110/120/220/2240 volt switchable. See pictures for specs, etc.. Here is a video of it playing on .  See link somewhere here.. Was the top of the line in its day. It works great and sounds fantastic. NOTE: The pinch roller sometimes needs a nudge up towards capstan to start playing but doesn't after running a bit. There is a hum to the motor at times, so could use a tuneup/servicing. However, it plays great. See Video I am including the service manual and extra fuses. All controls, lights, etc, work as they should. Also, this deck is in very nice cosmetic and well cared for condition, no scratches, no dings, no dents, in a non smoking environment. The heads are in excellent condition.  Selling AS IS.  These Teacs are known for their excellent performance. They are dynamic, extended, spacious, involving, smooth, transparent and very musical. Reel to Reels have made a strong come back and are considered by many as the finest source for fidelity. This is a nice machine and it is very heavy, 51 lbs.
